DUNCAN FORBES B.Sc. Hons (Agricultural & Environmental Science), Dip, AFM
Managing Director
Duncan was invited to join Kingshay in 1995 as Development Director and was appointed Managing Director in 2000. Working with a dedicated team of specialists he has established Kingshay as one of the leading providers of near market research, advice, services and training for dairy farmers & the wider industry across the UK & overseas.

Richard 

RICHARD SIMPSON B.Sc. Hons (Agric)
Development Director
Richard is involved in all aspects of business management & development, leading the team alongside the MD.  Richard combines practical farming experience with IT knowledge to develop & design services including our Dairy Manager herd costings & Carbon Footprinting Assessments.

Peter

PETER SHIPTON EngD, BSc AMIAgrE
Technical Manager

Peter heads up our technical team and is responsible for the majority of our trials.  Previously a dairy farmer in Essex and a herd manager in W. Sussex Peter spent a number of years working on a soil management project at Cranfield University before joining us. 

Martin MARTIN YEATES Ph.D. B.Sc. (Agric)

Senior Technical Consultant
Martin specialises in improving cow comfort and environment as well as environmental schemes and NVZ advice.  Martin is involved with running a number of our training workshops.

Martin is a keen mountain climber

ColinRobertson

COLIN ROBERTSON  B.Sc Hons (Agric)
Technical Consultant
Colin is a dairy research consultant providing business & nutritional advice to farmers.  He also supports the technical team providing telephone support to members.  Colin brings a wealth of experience especially in large herd management, having run herds in excess of 3,000 cows in Australia and the USA.  If you are planning to expand your herd, be sure to consult Colin. 

Tom-Bell

TOM BELL B.Sc Hons (Ag, Land & Farm Management)Technical Specialist
Tom is from a farming family near Bridgwater with a degree in Agriculture and Land management. Since graduating he has worked in New Zealand and prior to joining us was assistant farm manager on a 1200 hectare organic dairy farm in Wales.

Tom is an avid sports fan, keen on running, rugby, cricket and keep fit. 

Lucy-Carling

LUCY CARLING BVetMed MRCVS
Technical Specialist
Lucy is a qualified veterinary surgeon adding additional expertise to the team. After graduating Lucy worked as assistant herdsperson on a dairy farm in Wiltshire, responsible for milking, cow health & fertility, management of calving & fresh cows. She then gained experience as a working farm vet in Devon before joining us.

Lucy is a keen surfer and previously swam competitively

JENNY ASHTON 
Assistant Technical Specialist
Jenny joins us for her placement year from Harper Adams where she is studying BSc Hons Agriculture & Animal Science.

PaulRobinson

PAUL ROBINSON B.Sc. (Farm Business Management)
Part Time Consultant
With extensive farm management experience Paul is one of our part time consultants providing business & nutritional advice to farmers.  He specialises in feeding, forage & fertiliser planning, breeding and fertility.  Paul is a fully trained assessor for HowsMyHerd.  In January 2009 he was awarded a Nuffield Scholarship to study fertility management in high yielding dairy cows.

FARM SERVICES TEAM 
Kathryn 

KATHRYN BUCKLAND B.Sc. Hons (Agric)
Senior Farm Services Manager
Kathryn manages the services team including the Dairy Manager costings.  Her role sees her running Profit Manager, analysing data trends, developing new services including Health Manager and acting as one of the tutors on business management training workshops.

Kathryn is captain of her local ladies hockey team

Emily

EMILY CARTER  B.Sc. Hons (Environment and Ecology)
Farm Services Specialist
Emily is involved with our Carbon Footprinting Assessment work.  Previously, Emily worked as an Environment Officer for the Environment Agency in Lincolnshire where her family run a mixed farm.  

Emily has recently taken up clay pigeon shooting. She also enjoys wildlife photography and is a keen rugby fan.

ClaireChippendale CLAIRE CHIPPINDALE B.Sc. Hons (Ag Bus Resource Man)
Farm Services Specialist
Claire is the main contact for the Dairy Manager costings service.  Previously Claire visited farms completing pesticide usage surveys.

Claire enjoys baking rather lovely cakes!
JoShipton JO SHIPTON MSc Plant Diversity
Farm Services Assistant
Jo is responsible for organising our Workshops and helping with the Carbon Footprinting project.  With a long background in farming Jo is a registered agent for ELS, HLS and FEP's. She is also a member of IEEM.

Jo is a keen wildlife photographer

IT Development Specialist
Ian develops and maintains new and exisiting software systems for Kingshay.

Ian used to compete nationally in Canoe Slalom and Canoe Polo

Cordelia 

CORDELIA CHAPMAN
Customer Services Coordinator
Cordelia is responsible for Soil  Manager, the comprehensive soil analysis service, updating and developing the website and organising our literature and stands at shows.

Cordelia is developing a serious scuba diving habit

Rachel 

RACHEL STAMP
Membership Administrator
Rachel will be known to many of our members as she is responsible for all the Kingshay membership administration and manages the invoicing and credit control.
