Managing Director

Duncan was invited to join Kingshay in 1995 as Development Director and was appointed Managing Director in 2000. Working with a dedicated team of specialists he has established Kingshay as one of the leading providers of near market research, advice, services and training for dairy farmers with a UK wide network of consultants and associates.

RICHARD SIMPSON B.Sc. Hons (Agric)
Development Director

Richard has progressed to the position of Development Director and is involved in all aspects of business management & development, leading the team alongside the MD.  Richard combines practical farming experience with IT knowledge, to develop & design services including our Dairy Manager herd costings & Carbon Footprinting Assessments. 

Richard is a keen sports fan and an active skier

Consultancy Manager

Marian joined Kingshay in 2009 to develop and manage projects key to dairy farmers.  She heads up our consultancy team and coordinating our Associate Consultants.  Marian is also expanding our range of workshops as well as looking at the different membership options available.

Marian appeared in Monty Python's 'The Meaning Of Life'!

PAUL ROBINSON B.Sc. (Farm Business Management)
Consultant

With extensive farm management experience Paul is one of our consultants providing business & nutritional advice to farmers.  He specialises in feeding, forage & fertiliser planning, breeding and fertility.  Paul is a fully trained assessor for HowsMyHerd.  In January 2009 he was awarded a Nuffield Scholarship to study fertility management in high yielding dairy cows.

DAVID PETTITT B.Sc. Hons (Agriculture and the Environment)
Consultant

David is a dairy research consultant providing business & nutritional advice to farmers. He is one of the main consultants running farmer training workshops on Business Planning, Nutrition, Forage, Mastitis Control and many others.

David is captain of Wimbleball rowing club 

ROB MINTERN B.Sc. Hons (Agriculture)
Consultant

Rob is the main consultant running the HowsMyHerd service, playing a major role in its development.  He is also responsible for writing & delivering several workshops, focusing on Lameness, Fertility & Enhancing Cow Housing. 

MARTIN YEATES Ph.D. B.Sc. (Agric)
Technical Manager

Martin heads up the technical team, organising a number of farm based trials.  He specialises in improving cow comfort and environment as well as environmental schemes and NVZ advice.

Senior Technical Specialist

Peter is responsible for the majority of our trials.  Previously a dairy farmer in Essex and a herd manager in W. Sussex Peter spent a number of years working on a soil management project at Cranfield University before joining us.

Chris joins us for his placement year from Harper Adams where he is studying BSc Hons in Agriculture, Land & Farm Management.   Away from college Chris spends his time working on the family dairy farm in Herefordshire.

Chris is a DJ and runs a sound and lighting company with a friend

KATHRYN BUCKLAND B.Sc. Hons (Agric)
Farm Services Manager

Kathryn manages the services team including the Dairy Manager Costings.  Her role sees her running the Full Costs and spending time analysing data trends.

Kathryn is captain of her local ladies hockey team

SARA STUDDEN B.Sc. Hons (Animal Health & Welfare)
Farm Services Assistant

Sara has joined the Dairy Manager team covering Kate's maternity leave and will be responsible for the day to day running for the Dairy Manager service.  She has recently graduated from Harper Adams with BSc Hons Animal Health & Welfare.

Sara had a previous life in Formula 1 racing

EMILY ENDERBY  B.Sc. Hons (Environment and Ecology)
Farm Services Assistant

Emily is involved with our Carbon Footprinting Assessment work and our Hows My Herd service.  Previously, Emily worked as an Environment Officer for the Environment Agency in Lincolnshire where her family run a mixed farm.  

Emily has recently taken up clay pigeon shooting. She also enjoys wildlife photography and is a keen rugby fan.

IAN HEATHCOCK
IT Development Specialist

Ian develops and maintains new and exisiting software systems for Kingshay.

Ian used to compete nationally in Canoe Slalom and Canoe Polo

IT Assistant

Steve is responsible for our office IT support and provides customer support for our programs and services. He is also Ian's right hand man in developing and maintaining software.  He graduated in '08 from Bournemouth University.

Customer Services Coordinator

Cordelia is responsible for the comprehensive soil analysis service, updating and developing the website and organising our literature and stands at shows.

Cordelia is developing a serious scuba diving habit

ALICE HOOPER
Customer Services Administrator

Alice organises the increasing range of Kingshay workshops, from attracting funding to finding host farmers and venues.  She is also responsible for reporting analysis results to farmers.

Rachel will be known to many of our members as she is responsible for all the Kingshay membership administration and manages the invoicing and credit control.
